How Soon Can You Exercise After a Hair Transplant?

If you train regularly, one of the first questions after a hair transplant is when you can get back to it. Easing back gradually protects your result, so here is a sensible guide.

The first week

Rest is best in the first few days. Sweating, raised blood pressure and anything that risks knocking the grafts should be avoided, so intense exercise is off the table early on. Gentle walking is usually fine and even helpful.

Building back up

Light activity can often resume after several days, with more intense training, heavy lifting and contact sport reintroduced gradually over the following weeks as the grafts secure and the scalp heals. Swimming and saunas are best left until later because of the water, heat and sweat.

Follow your plan
