What does the treatment involve?

Does scalp micropigmentation hurt?
Most people find SMP very tolerable. It is a light, surface-level procedure and the scalp is prepared to keep you comfortable. Sensation varies by person and area, and your artist works at a pace that suits you. Any tenderness afterwards is usually mild and short-lived.
How long does SMP last?
SMP is long-lasting but not strictly permanent. The pigment softens gradually over several years and can fade with sun exposure. Most people have a top-up every few years to keep the look sharp. Your artist advises on aftercare and sun protection to help it last.
Does SMP look natural?
When done well, yes. A realistic result comes from matching the pigment tone, dot size and density to your own hair and skin, and from building it gradually over sessions. This is why the artist assesses you in person and plans the hairline shape with you before starting.
Is scalp micropigmentation suitable for women?

Is there any downtime after SMP?
No. SMP is non-surgical, leaves no scarring, and most people return to their normal routine straight away. For the first few days the scalp may look a little darker or slightly red as it settles. Keep it dry for about four days and avoid heavy sweating, the gym, swimming, saunas and long sun exposure while it heals; your artist gives you full aftercare, including sun protection to keep the result sharp.
