Skin boosters are injectable treatments that deliver hydrating, skin-conditioning ingredients such as hyaluronic acid into the skin. Rather than reshaping or adding volume like a filler, they improve the skin itself: hydration, elasticity, firmness and glow. They suit skin that looks tired, dry, crepey or dull, on the face, neck, décolletage and hands.

Some boosters also work by bio-remodelling, gently stimulating your own collagen and elastin over a short course so the improvement builds and lasts. Treatments at the clinic start from £250, confirmed at a private consultation.

What is the difference between a skin booster and a filler?

A dermal filler adds structure and volume to a specific area, such as the cheeks or jawline. A skin booster spreads hydration and skin-conditioning ingredients more broadly to improve quality and radiance, without changing your shape. Many people use boosters to keep skin looking fresh and healthy, on their own or alongside other treatments.

How many sessions of skin boosters do I need?

Most skin boosters work best as a short course. A common starting point is two sessions spaced about four weeks apart, then a top-up every few months to maintain the result. Bio-remodelling treatments in particular are designed around a two-session protocol. Your exact plan is set at consultation, based on your skin and goals.

What do skin boosters treat?

Skin boosters suit skin that looks dull, dry, tired or crepey rather than deflated. They deliver deeply hydrating ingredients into the skin to improve smoothness, elasticity and glow, and they work well on the face, neck, décolletage and the backs of the hands, areas that often show ageing early.

How do skin boosters work?

Rather than adding volume like a filler, a booster places hydrating, skin-conditioning ingredients into the skin itself in a series of tiny points. Over the following weeks the skin holds more moisture and looks fresher and firmer from within. The effect builds over a short course of sessions.

Frequently asked questions

When will I see results from skin boosters?

Skin boosters improve skin quality gradually. Many people notice better hydration and a softer look within one to two weeks, with firmness and glow building over four to six weeks as the skin remodels. Results strengthen across a course and are maintained with occasional top-ups.

Is there downtime after skin boosters?

Downtime is minimal. You may have small injection marks, mild redness or slight swelling for a day or so, and occasionally a small bruise. We advise avoiding make-up, alcohol, saunas and the gym for the rest of the day, and give tailored aftercare so your skin settles smoothly.

How long do skin boosters last?

It varies by treatment and by person, but the effect of a completed course typically lasts around six months. Skin that is very dry or sun-exposed may benefit from more frequent maintenance. We explain the expected longevity of your specific plan at consultation so there are no surprises.

Do skin boosters hurt?

Discomfort is usually mild. Very fine needles are used, often with numbing cream beforehand, and each session is quick. You may have tiny bumps or a little redness for a day, which settles quickly.

Are skin boosters worth it?

For skin that is dry, dull or losing quality, many people find them worthwhile, particularly as part of a wider plan. They are not about changing your shape, so we are clear about what they can and cannot do before you commit.
