A hair transplant works brilliantly for the right person, but suitability matters as much as wanting it. A few signs suggest you may be a good candidate, though only an assessment can confirm it.
Good signs
Having a good supply of healthy donor hair at the back and sides is the single most important factor. Loss that has stabilised or is progressing slowly, realistic expectations, and a defined area to treat, such as a receding hairline or a thinning crown, all point in your favour.
Reasons to wait or reconsider
Very early, fast-moving loss can mean chasing the loss with more surgery later. Limited donor hair, extensive baldness with little to work from, or expectations of youthful density that cannot be met are reasons a good surgeon may advise against it for now.
