Hair transplant pricing is confusing by design in much of the market. Headline figures are quoted per graft, the graft count is decided on the day, and the number you were given at enquiry bears little relationship to what you pay. It is worth understanding what actually sits behind the price.
What does the price cover?
A hair transplant is a surgical day, not a product. The cost covers the surgeon’s assessment and planning, the hairline design, theatre time in a regulated facility, the surgical team, anaesthetic, consumables, and the aftercare that follows. In our case it also includes two sessions of regenerative hair growth treatment, one applied during the procedure, post-operative medication, an aftercare pack and UK-based support.
The single biggest variable is time. A larger session occupies a full day and a full team, and that is what separates a smaller package from a larger one.
Why is per-graft pricing a problem?
Per-graft pricing sounds transparent and often is not. The final count is determined during surgery, when you are on the table and in no position to negotiate, so the incentive runs towards harvesting more rather than what your donor area can sustain. It also makes honest comparison between clinics almost impossible.
We price by package and technique instead, so the figure agreed at consultation is the figure you pay.
What do we charge?
Sapphire FUE is £3,500 for a smaller session, up to 3,000 grafts for men or 1,500 for women and beard work, and £4,450 for a larger one. DHI, the no-shave option, is £4,200 and £5,150 respectively. There is no travel surcharge wherever you come from, and no per-graft escalation.
Why is the UK more expensive than abroad?
Lower overheads and very high volume make packages abroad cheaper, and some overseas clinics are excellent. What the price difference usually reflects is who performs the surgery, how much oversight there is, and what happens afterwards. Correcting an over-harvested donor area or an unnatural hairline costs more than doing it once properly.

Do I pay more for a bigger area?
Larger sessions cost more because they take longer, but the price is fixed by package before you commit, not calculated afterwards.
