Chin & Jawline Sculpting – Aqualyx

Chin and jawline sculpting with Aqualyx is an injectable treatment used to address small, localised pockets of fat beneath the chin and along the lower face. Aqualyx contains a solution that helps break down fat cells in the treated area, which are then gradually cleared by the body over the following weeks. The aim is to refine the contour of the chin and jawline and improve definition of the lower face.

The treatment is delivered by a clinician at our Harley Street centre. After a small amount of local anaesthetic is used for comfort, the solution is injected into the targeted area. More than one session may be advised, and this is discussed during your assessment. Common experiences include:

  • Temporary swelling, tenderness or firmness in the treated area
  • Possible bruising or redness that settles over the following days
  • A short period during which the area may feel sensitive to touch

Aftercare guidance is provided by our team, and most people return to their usual routine soon afterwards. Because responses differ from person to person, individual outcomes cannot be predicted, and a realistic plan is agreed together based on your concerns and anatomy.

Suitability, the number of sessions and a personalised plan are assessed at a free consultation at 19 Harley Street, London.

Frequently asked questions

What is Aqualyx and what does it treat?

Aqualyx is an injectable treatment used to address small, stubborn pockets of fat, such as under the chin and along the jawline, that are resistant to diet and exercise. It is not a weight-loss treatment. Suitability is assessed at your consultation.

How many sessions will I need?

Several sessions are usually needed, spaced a few weeks apart, and the number depends on the area and your goals. Results build gradually as the treated fat reduces. Your clinician confirms a realistic plan for you at consultation.

Is there downtime after Aqualyx?

Swelling and tenderness in the treated area are common and can last several days, sometimes longer than with other injectables. Redness or small bruises may also occur. We give clear aftercare guidance to help everything settle.

When will I see results?

Results develop gradually over the weeks following each session as the treated fat reduces, rather than appearing straight away. A course is usually needed for a noticeable change, and individual responses vary.
