Filler adjustments using hyaluronidase at Liv Hair & Skin Clinic offer a way to reduce or dissolve previously placed hyaluronic acid dermal filler. Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid, allowing the body to clear it more quickly. This can help where filler has migrated, settled unevenly, been overplaced, or where you simply wish to soften or reverse a previous result.
The treatment is clinician-led and carried out in our private centre at 19 Harley Street, London. Following a careful assessment of the treated area, your practitioner will discuss what the enzyme can and cannot address, and plan an approach tailored to your goals. It is commonly considered for the face, including areas such as the lips, cheeks and tear troughs.
- Delivered by an experienced clinician after a medical assessment
- Focused on correcting or reducing existing hyaluronic acid filler
- Personalised aftercare guidance provided by our team
Mild swelling, redness or tenderness at the treated area is common and usually settles within a few days. Your clinician will explain expected downtime, aftercare and whether more than one session may be appropriate. As this treatment involves an enzyme, a patch test may be advised beforehand. Individual responses vary and outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
Suitability for hyaluronidase filler adjustments is assessed during a free consultation at 19 Harley Street, London.

What does hyaluronidase do?
Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that dissolves hyaluronic acid dermal filler. It is used to adjust or reverse previous filler, whether to correct an uneven result, reduce over-filled areas, or start afresh. Suitability is assessed at a consultation where we review your existing filler.
When is filler dissolving used?
It is used to soften or remove hyaluronic acid filler that has migrated, looks uneven or is more than you want, and sometimes before re-treating an area. Only HA fillers can be dissolved this way. We assess your case carefully at consultation first.
Is there downtime?
Downtime is usually minimal. You may have swelling, redness or tenderness in the treated area for a day or two. We give clear aftercare advice and, where re-treatment is planned, advise on how long to wait afterwards.
How soon will I see the filler reduce?
Many people notice a change within a day or two as the filler dissolves, though sometimes a second session is needed for a fuller effect. We review the result with you and plan any next steps at a follow-up.
