Lip enhancement at Liv Hair & Skin Clinic uses a dermal filler based on hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the skin and holds water to add softness and structure. The treatment is carried out by our clinicians to add subtle volume, refine the border of the lips and improve balance and definition. The approach is tailored to your facial proportions, with the aim of results that look natural rather than overdone.
A lip treatment can help with a range of concerns, including:
- Loss of volume or thinning lips
- Uneven or asymmetrical shape
- A less defined lip border or contour
- Fine lines around the mouth in suitable cases
Treatment begins with a medical assessment and a discussion of your goals. The procedure is performed in our private Harley Street setting. Some swelling, tenderness or minor bruising is common in the first few days and usually settles on its own. Most people return to daily activities quickly, and the team will provide clear aftercare guidance, including advice on avoiding heat, strenuous exercise and pressure on the lips for a short period.
Longevity, technique and product choice vary from person to person and are discussed during your appointment. Suitability is assessed at a free consultation at 19 Harley Street, London.

Do lip fillers hurt?
Most people find it very tolerable. The filler usually contains a local anaesthetic, and we can apply numbing cream beforehand, so discomfort is mild and brief. You may have some tenderness, swelling or small bruises for a few days afterwards, which settle with aftercare.
Will my lips look natural?
That is the aim. Natural results come from assessing your face as a whole and adding the right amount for balance rather than overfilling. We would rather build gradually than overdo it, and we are happy to say when less is more.
How long do lip fillers last?
Most last around six to twelve months, though lips move a lot so the filler tends to break down a little faster than in some areas. We discuss longevity and any maintenance for your plan at your consultation.
Can lip filler be dissolved?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid lip fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme if needed, which is one reason they are widely used. This is discussed at consultation and is another reason to choose an experienced clinician who assesses carefully before treating.
